I have taken some better pictures of the bunny frame I showed you a while back. I wanted you to see it up close and in various angles. The frame is standing on a note book that i made some time ago.
I wish you all a good night, morning, afternoon, evening or day wherever you may be on this earth.
The days are passing and you would expect it to be spring by now, but the snow keeps on making surprise visits. Its’s quite interesting to see the crocus a spring flower surounded by snow. The sun stays up a bit longer and its more bright now. So that has affected my work in a positive way, I have been and I am working on several watercolor paintings and also some clay things. I have been making some last minute clay easter decorations that I will show you here now.
I want to wish you all a happy Easter!
I hope you all have a nice evening, night, morning, afternoon or day wherever you may be in this world.
Since I was absent for such a long time before this September it’s maybe not a surprise that I have a lot of older crafts that I would like to show you all. So every once in a while I thought that I will submit some posts that revolve around some of my older projects but I will of course also come with new stuff.
The craft that I will show you in this post is my handmade graduation invitations. I made these last year for my own graduation. I have a thing for butterflies and I have always loved these small creatures. I loved them so much as a child, that my childhood bedroom had to be covered with butterfly wallpaper.
I got the idea and design for this project from Pinterest, but I drew my own stencils so I got the invitations exactly how I wanted them to be. I made the cards from hard white hard scrapbooking paper and then I decorated the butterflies with patterned scrapbooking paper. The envelopes are that I used are the usual type that I think you can find almost anywhere. I made a stencil of the envelope’s inside, then I used it to cut out the envelopes shape on the printed papers. To decorate the inside of the envelopes with the printed paper I used double-sided tape. I put some string around the cards to finish of the invitations summery look. I thought that it would be more fun if the cards were different, so that everyone received a specialized invitation.
I hope you had a nice time in this little post.
I wish you all a good evening, night, morning or day wherever you may be on this earth.
I can now tell you all that the strong and chilly autumn wind have taken away all the bright yellow leaves from the tree that I mentioned before. This is however the characteristic of this season and we must keep in mind that we will soon see new buds of leaves in the spring. When I’m still on the topic of plants and seasons it’s time to introduce this posts main content, which is pumpkins.
Yesterday I carved, what I want to call an autumn pumpkin. I prefer doing a pumpkin with general fall motifs then a Halloween pumpkin. I think that a fall pumpkin is more usable when Halloween have passed. When I was small I used to do usual Halloween pumpkins but now I feel that I want to do something more general for the season. I put my pumpkin outside our house door with a lantern and a small decoration pumpkin.
I will now talk about how I created the motif on the pumpkin. I used an alcohol marker to draw the outlines of the design and what I should cut out and what to leave. To ca out the pattern I used different sized knives because I don’t have special carving tools for this. When I cut or carved out the motif I clean the pumpkin from its flesh. Then it only remained to put a candle inside of it and place it outside and of course await the darkness.
Well this post its not that long but I will of course return with more as soon as I can.
I hope you all had a nice time reading this post. I wish you all a good evening, night, morning or day, wherever you may be on this earth.
Today I thought that I would share another one of my handmade gifts in clay. This time it’s a little bit bigger than the last craft I showed you but this one has so much more details. It took me quite a while to make this frame in clay, I would say maybe two days. When I say two day’s I literally mean that I sat for almost two whole days from start to finish, so my eyes were hurting quite a bit. I always say that the most fun thing with crafts and creating is to see what you can accomplish by yourself, at least that’s what I think. The process of creating can also be fun but I am always looking forward to the finished product and am very pleased with this photo frame. It’s a gift for a friend that just got their first child, a little baby girl, so I thought that a little cute photo frame could be a nice gift for the first time parents.
I started this project by selecting a fitting picture frame in wood. Then I covered the front and the side parts of the frame with FIMO clay. Then the small creations started to take come to life one by one. I wanted the theme for this craft to be forest animals and therefore I choose animals such as hedgehog, bear and squirrel to be on the frame. When all the clay parts were added the frame got a sun vacation in the oven. After that some more details were painted on with acrylic paint and the last touch was to cover the baked clay with FIMO glossy varnish. I am very happy with this clay creation and I hope that the persons it’s intended for will like it to. I created the illustration in the frame mainly on the computer with a Wacom tablet.
When I’m still on the topic about children and nurseries I would like to show you a little bunny pillow alternative a stuffed animal that I sewed. I’ve seen a lot of this type on Pinterest so I thought that I would give it a try myself so this is my version. I think that the fabrics are absolutely adorable and that’s why I picked them for this handcraft. The little bunny will possibly accompany the animal clay picture frame but I’m not sure yet so we just have to wait and see.
I wish that you had a nice time and read with this blog post.
Hope you all have a nice evening, night, day or morning where ever you may be on this earth.
Flower I made in shabby chic style with with fabric, glue gun, pearls and thread
Now the snow is all gone an the only tralle of trail of it is large puddles. But the sun has shown it’s face today, maybe a singn of spring? who knows. I do really long for the spring to come. I want to watch all the flowers grow. I love flowers and have always done although I’m allergic. Flowers always make me smile.
It wasn’t really flowers I was going to talk about, but my thoughts wandered away. I have to think about what is was I were going to talk about. Oh yes I remember 🙂
I have started to re make some of my furniture.A drawer that I have painted white, but i also want some color on it. So I have thought about putting on some cute knobs. I have seen many on the internet, but i haven’t decided yet. Right now I am really in to pastel colors so maybe some knobs in on of those colors. My favorite is mint green.
But before I buy new knobs, I will try to re decorated the old ones. I have painted them white to, and I ‘am thinking about painting mint green on the top. I will show you guys when it is finished. 🙂
I have so many things that I want to make and try, but I don’t have so much time. But I will at least try to make some time, I really love making things.
Hope you all have a great day.
See you soon
