Botanical Easter Eggs

Standard

Hello everyone!

This year I decorated some candy Easter eggs for a more personal look. I used acrylic paint as a base and for the leaves. For the details I used posca pens and ink.

I wish you all a good evening, night, morning or day wherever you may be on this earth.

Forever pumpkins

Forever pumpkins

Hi there!

Some weeks ago around Halloween my mother and I tried to make concrete pumpkins. I looked around the internet and found many different and similar ways on how to make these decorations. So we decided to use nylon socks and big rubber bands to create the shape of a pumpkin. We used acrylic paint to give them some color. I went for a more pastel look rather than very bright colors. The best thing with pumpkins made of concrete are that you can reuse them over and over again. If you get tiered of the color you can always repaint them. I really think this is a fun project to do by yourself or with someone else.

I wish you all a good evening, night, morning or day wherever you are on this planet.

Easter sneak peek

Easter sneak peek

Hello everyone!

The snow has come and gone from day to day here. I love to watch snow fall, but it’s sad that it melts away some hours later. In some weeks its Easter and I have started preparing Easter decorations. Where I live its common to bring in birch twigs to the house and hang decorations with them for Easter. So I have made some clay eggs just for this purpose. I thought I would let you have a peek before the holiday. We do not have any birch twigs in our household yet, so therefore the tulips have to suffice.

I hope you all had a nice time here.

I wish you all a good morning, afternoon, evening, night or day wherever you may be on this earth.

Colorful Clay Jewelry

Colorful Clay Jewelry

Hello there!

In my previous post I showed you all the Christmas things in clay I had for sale at the Christmas market. However, I also had jewelry for sale and I thought it would be a great time to display them now. The jewelry I made consists of necklaces and earnings in different shapes, sizes and colors. The white necklace with roses differ from the rest because the design is painted on with acrylic paint. The other necklaces and one pair of the earrings are decorated with clay on clay, a technique that is called clay applique.

Christmas Market Crafts

Hi there!

This is My first blog post this year, 2018. I hope you all had a nice holiday season and a good beginning on this New Year. Some post ago I told you that I would show you more of the stuffs I created for a Christmas market. Christmas is more or less over now and our tree will be taken down this evening. That’s why I think it’s better late than never to show you the crafts I sold at the Christmas market.

I made 4 types of Christmas tree decorations such as elephants, hearts, crochetimitations and gingerbread figures.  I also had things that you can use all year around like necklaces, earrings and figurines.

Here are some photos of the ornaments in a Christmas tree, to see how it can look like.

I hope you all had a nice time reading this entry. I wish you all a good evening, night, morning or day wherever you may be in this world.

Hello January!

Standard

Hello everybody!

So, this is my first blog post this year, the new year 2017. I believe I wrote on Christmas eve that I would soon show you all some of my handmade Christmas gifts and I should think that it’s about time that I do it now. Therefore, will this post be about handmade gifts that I already have given away because now Christmas is more or less over.

I crocheted this flower bookmark for my grandmother because she absolutely loves to read and she has almost always more than one book at a time. That’s why I thought I would be appropriate to give her a handmade bookmark so she can keep track on what page she is on when she switches between books. I also made a hat for my mom in crochet but I sadly do not have a photo of it yet, but I will see if I can get a picture of it.

These clay charms were made for two of my friends. I like to have a story behind the things that I create. I don’t want the gifts to be random I want them to have a personal meaning for the receiver of the gift, of course I can only accomplish that if I know the person though. One of my friends she is studying to become a dentist and therefore I made a tooth and a toothbrush out of FIMO clay for her. Then I attached the two charms together and contacted them to a blue ribbon so it would function as a necklace. The waffle with the strawberry is for another friend and she really likes waffles and so I thought I have to make her a waffle that she can walk around with all the time.

Some projects I’m working on right now are some more of the Swedish princess cake keychains and clay frames. I have also tried to follow World Watercolor Group’s art challenge this month so I thought that I will post the first week’s drawings tomorrow.

I hope you all had a lovely time in this post and on my blog.

I wish you all a good evening, night, morning, afternoon or day wherever you may be on this earth.

FIMO Clay, fabric, some thread and a pen

Standard

Hello everybody!
Today I thought that I would share another one of my handmade gifts in clay. This time it’s a little bit bigger than the last craft I showed you but this one has so much more details. It took me quite a while to make this frame in clay, I would say maybe two days. When I say two day’s I literally mean that I sat for almost two whole days from start to finish, so my eyes were hurting quite a bit. I always say that the most fun thing with crafts and creating is to see what you can accomplish by yourself, at least that’s what I think. The process of creating can also be fun but I am always looking forward to the finished product and am very pleased with this photo frame. It’s a gift for a friend that just got their first child, a little baby girl, so I thought that a little cute photo frame could be a nice gift for the first time parents.

I started this project by selecting a fitting picture frame in wood. Then I covered the front and the side parts of the frame with FIMO clay. Then the small creations started to take come to life one by one. I wanted the theme for this craft to be forest animals and therefore I choose animals such as hedgehog, bear and squirrel to be on the frame. When all the clay parts were added the frame got a sun vacation in the oven. After that some more details were painted on with acrylic paint and the last touch was to cover the baked clay with FIMO glossy varnish. I am very happy with this clay creation and I hope that the persons it’s intended for will like it to. I created the illustration in the frame mainly on the computer with a Wacom tablet.
When I’m still on the topic about children and nurseries I would like to show you a little bunny pillow alternative a stuffed animal that I sewed. I’ve seen a lot of this type on Pinterest so I thought that I would give it a try myself so this is my version. I think that the fabrics are absolutely adorable and that’s why I picked them for this handcraft. The little bunny will possibly accompany the animal clay picture frame but I’m not sure yet so we just have to wait and see.

I wish that you had a nice time and read with this blog post.
Hope you all have a nice evening, night, day or morning where ever you may be on this earth.
